Bizzness

I can actually spell business but I chose to spell it ghetto, purely because I can.

Lots of things going on at Flatpack HQ at the moment, the Apollo’s Arrows EP has got reviewed over on Punktastic and Alterthepress, which is nice, although I’m not totally convinced they sound like The Pigeon Detectives. Hmm.

Here are their upcoming dates. I’m still laughing that they are playing in Petersfield. Should be an interesting one to say the least.

The Common are ticking over nicely, so nicely in fact they are doing a headline show at the Joiners this weekend. Check out this poster, although I’m not sure how it passed quality control if you know what I mean:

Oh yes, the frankly wonderful Boxer, are playing a show at Hamptons, in Sout-hampton on valentines day to coincide with the release of their new EP cleverly titled, ‘Valentines Day.’ I see what they did there, do you?

JULY UPDATE

So much is going on in my world at the moment as well as Flatpack’s. It’s all pretty mental.

Apollo’s Arrows and Polio have both just finished recording new EPs. They both sound huge and can’t wait to get them out there.

You may be wondering about the picture above. I decided to take down the website for the moment (www.flatpackrecs.co.uk) as I want a newer, more interesting website for you all to go on or look around or troll or whatever! That should be all sorted relatively soon. I’m brimming with ideas!

Apollo’s Arrows have already done a couple of festivals and a quite surreal gig on a beach as you can see here:

Shame about some shit band on before them who decided to heckle Apollo’s as they were ‘scummers,’ (they aren’t, not that it matters) and genuinely made me kind of ashamed of my most excellent home town. To you lot, fuck off, and the Mojo Filters are about as good as a hair cut done by a blind man.

Anyway, Apollo’s have a run of shows coming up with the excellent Shapes & old buddies Munroe Effect. Both rad. Dates are here.

Speaking of dates, myself, along with my good friend Sam Smith (no, not the pub) are putting on a FREE show in London next Saturday at Notting Hill Arts Club. Acts include Apollo’s Arrows, Cardinals, Kino Feurer & Killington Fall. Poster:
